Award Rules

1.  All entries must be submitted online by 11:59 pm Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) on December 20, 2023. Entries received after this date will be disqualified, and no extensions will be granted.

2. Submissions must be made online. Email submissions are not permitted.​

3. All participants ages 4 -25 are eligible for this award. Proof of age, identity, and/or eligibility may be required.

4. All artwork must be original work by the participants and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties. Do not copy an idea from a past participant’s work. Do not draw a character from a cartoon or movie. See how to enter and grading rubric for more information on what the judges are (and are not) looking for. 

5. Do not submit artwork to the London Young Artist Award that you have entered into another art competition.

6. There are no minimum or maximum size requirements for the artwork.

7. Participants may submit 1or more art pieces, but cannot resubmit the same art piece.

8. All award participants will receive a digital certificate.

9. Applicants must fill out all required information on the online Entry Form, including a photograph or scan of the original artwork. See Guidelines for Submitting Artwork.

10. All participants under 18 years old must provide parent/guardian or teacher contact information. Participants who do not provide accurate information may be disqualified.

11. Do not include nudity or explicit content in artwork you submit to the London Young Artist Award.

12. The London Young Artist reserves the right to disqualify artwork deemed as offensive or plagiarised.

13. Entries that do not comply with all of the award rules will be disqualified.

14. All winners and their parent/guardian or teacher may be contacted before the London Young Artist Award winning entries. All winners and their sponsors will be notified by email before they are publicly announced.

15. By submitting their artwork, participants agree to allow the London Young Artist to use their submissions to promote ocean conservation and the work of the London Young Artist in all media worldwide in perpetuity. Artwork, art descriptions, and applicant's information (such as name, country, and age) may be used in publications and distributed to the media. 

16. By entering the London Young Artist Award, you agree to London Young Artist  Terms of Use.

17. The use of AI-generators, like ChatGPT or DALL-E, is considered plagiarism. Any participant who submits AI-generated work will be disqualified and their sponsor will be notified.

18. The London Young Artist Award promises to run this award competition fairly, ethically, and with integrity.

Rights

The applicant agrees that the London Young Artist Ltd will retain the submitted artwork and art description, and may use them to promote ocean conservation in all media worldwide in perpetuity.

 

Artwork, art descriptions, and selected applicant information, such as name, country, and age, may be used in publications and distributed to the media.
